Ahhh....who doesn't love the taste and comfort of the chocolate chip cookies. I know, I do. Here it is in the "Healthy" cook book. HOORAY! To be honest this is the best homemade cookie recipe I have ever tried. Usually I make oatmeal chocolate chip because plain chocolate chip cookies always tastes to buttery. In this recipe they had you melt some of the butter in a sauce pan until brown and nutty smelling. Good call, if you ask me. These cookies are a keeper at my house....I even made the double.
Now, I don't think cookies are a healthy choice but they are great to have once in a while, especially if they are homemade. This way you know what ingredients are inside the cookies.
I was curious to compare this recipe to an average chocolate chip cookie recipe to see how they decreased some ingredients since there were no real "health" ingredients added. I didn't notice much difference other then how the butter was prepared. I am not sure how this recipe made it into the healthy cook book, but it was good.
