Why Run?


What ever your reason is, do it for you. My husband and I are training for a half marathon to bring back dating memories and accomplish something. We used to run together a lot when we were dating and running this race will bring back good memories and renewed adventure.

JEN'S Runing Tips:

  1. Have a goal-Whatever your goal is will help you train in body and mind. Make a plan that will help you reach your goal.
  2. Set your pace- Be reasonable with each run. Faster pace on short runs and slower pace on long runs. Once your comfortable with your long run increase you pace. Keep running frequently, this is how you'll improve.
  3. Train your brain- Mental talk is just as important as the physical. Never let negative thoughts enter your brain. You will be surprised at how much power this will have over your goal.
  4. Keep motivated-Friend or family, whether they are running with you, coaching you, or just your personal support. This will help you on the days your not in the mood. Don't make excuses...Just Do It.
  5. Celebrate-When your goal is accomplished reward yourself. This is what you have worked for so celebrate!
